La Fiebre are from Pasadena, Texas near Houston. They have been known as "The Bad Boys from Pasadena" and have reportedly reformed to entertain fans of Tejano Music. They formed in 1986 without a name, finally deciding on "La Fiebre" which translates to "The Fever" in English.

In 1998 La Fiebre received a Grammy nomination in the category of Best Tejano Album for their album Fiebre Live En Concierto.
